Human first. A little help goes a long way.
Helping you
help yourself.
Explore technology. Discover what’s possible.
Through patient, human mentoring, we help people explore technology and AI through something that interests or matters to them. There’s room to ask questions, experiment, question an answer and discover what helps. You don’t need technical knowledge or confidence to begin.
You choose where to start. You can pause or stop.
Your Bill of Rights guides how we work together.
Supporting people across Dorset by Zoom or telephone, with in-person visits by arrangement.
Poole office coming soon, in partnership with Waste Not Want Not Poole.
No diagnosis needed. No technical knowledge expected.

That’s a start.
Your pace. Your choices.
Support with your rights at its heart.
You have the right to go at your own pace.
You have the right to stop.
You have the right to change your mind at any time.
Start with the actual thing
What are you
stuck on?
You don’t need to know the name of a service. Bring the problem.
Connection Before Direction
Confidence grows.
Possibilities open.
Start with something that matters to you, with a person alongside you.
Confidence can grow through those experiences: understanding something unfamiliar, making something of your own or doing something you previously needed help with. That growing sense of capability can open possibilities for learning, connection and work.
Our informal, trauma-informed mentoring creates room to explore at your pace. AI is optional: we help you understand what it can do, question its answers and notice when it’s time to step away. You choose where that growing capability takes you.
How the mentoring works →A next step, not another dead end
We don’t
just signpost.
Being told where to go is not the same as being helped to get there.
We won’t always know the answer. We will help you work out the next step. When you need specialist support, a warm handover matters.

A person alongside you
Hello, I’m Karl.
I started Happyish while finding my own way back into work. My background spans technology and design, undergraduate Applied Psychology and Computing including Human-Computer Interaction, and an MA in Sound Design for the Moving Image.
I bring that experience to practical mentoring: working through something that matters to you, at your pace.

AI that actually helps.
Understand what it’s useful for, where it goes wrong and how to use it safely. From breaking down a task to checking an answer — including noticing when a tool is making things more confusing, and deciding when to step away. Your judgement stays in the picture.
A clearer starting point with AI →You don’t have to fit a box
For anyone who could
use a bit of help.
Support starts with your own goals — whether you’re returning to work, in recovery or rebuilding after a difficult period.
One-to-one digital mentoring in Dorset, Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole, including support for disabled people, neurodivergent people and people with long-term health conditions. Zoom with your camera on or off, telephone or an agreed local meeting: we work at your pace.
Who it’s for →Room to move forward
A useful step. Your own direction.
Digital confidence can make an everyday task easier, help you connect with someone or open a route towards work. We begin with what would help today. You choose where it leads.
Our proposed pilot would test whether practical mentoring, human connection and optional AI continuity help people build lasting capability while keeping control of their own goals.
